Audio Research VS-55 w/ KT-120 upgrade

For Sale: My Audio Research VS55 with upgrade to KT120 tubes (approved by Audio Research). It is rated at 50 wpc but the KT 120 tubes probably give it a little bit more. [There is a different bias setting for these tubes that I have confirmed with ARC and it is set to that. (I also noted it in the user manual.)] ARC equipment has increased in price dramatically. Getting into their class of equipment for less then $2000 is spectacular.

As far as I know there are no marks on it, but there may be something minor I missed. It has never failed or needed repair. It works perfectly and sounds exceptional, especially with the KT-120s. I have been using a Rogue pre-amp with it (also soon up for sale) and the sound compares extremely favorably to my previous name brand high end audio components that cost about 3 times as much as this combination new. I am selling because I am just out of space and, reluctantly, need to cut back to an integrated amp.

It cost $3000 when new, plus the cost of the KT120. The current set of tubes probably has no more then 400 hours on them and the amp itself, about 1500 I believe. I just have not been able to listen as often as I want, sometimes no more then a single album in 2 or 3 months.
