I am listing a audio rack 3 shelf, shelfs are made out of maple, legs are made out of walnut. These stands are made 1 at a time in my small shop here in the mountains of Pickens county South Carolina, just up the road from AudioGoN in Greenville S.C., Due to shop space i have no room to store extra inventory, so i must make 1 at a time. average turnaround is 2 to 3 weeks, shipped, these stands are not stained, i only use lacquer, and shellac, which provide a near perfect finish, then hand rubbed with Bri wax to give it a nice natural gloss, that lets the wood shine through, that you can feel. I will never use polyurethane, it gives a plastic cover which hides the natural beauty of the wood. The Wood, I do not use little slivers glued together like a cutting board, i do not care for that look, although most high end racks use this method i do not, at most there is 2 or 3 boards carefully cut and glued, i try to grain match as best as possible, the end result is a much nicer rack to compliment your components. The Sound, i am 60 years old, have been an audiophile since i was 14, i have learned that the best vibration killer is solid wood, i have heard it and seen it all. If your rack has metal in it, that is your vibration weak point, i have had racks that were even filled with sand it was heavy, but still had that vibe. ( i am currently working on wood feet for components ) the only draw back with my racks are they are not adjustable, for sound deading propuses. i make them ridged and strong, no threaded rod will ever be used. no metal spikes to mark up your floors, the sound improvement is dynamic, bass is lower and mids and highs are crisper and cleaner, if you are a bass fan you can push the bass a lot farther with this stand. Please look at the pictures as these are what you will receive, only difference is the wood, which i hand pick each piece. Shipping this stand is heavy i estimate over 200Lbs, thats a lot of wood, i have to buy or make a custom sized pallet then build protective ends, and shinkwrap the hole thing, it would have to sent freight only, and i would highly recommend a lift gate, unless you have a couple strong friends, my best guess would be $300. plus depending, on where you live. Again i only make 1 at a time, so please contact me through this site and ill let you know how and if I'm backed up. As you can see in the pictures i also build turntables, the Thornes in the pictures is my latest, if you would like something truly different, get in touch with me, that table weighs in at 78lbs. Size of the rack 52 1/2 inch long, 21 inchs wide( Shelf) 371/2 inch high, about 141/2 inches between shelves. enough room for even the largest of amps. Also i just added some amp stands please check my other listings. the ones on my stand are of prototype and will be finished like the stands, thanks Mike

Questions for the seller
What is the time to obtain one of these? Bob
Hey Bob, first thanks for the interest in my racks, i have 1 rack and 3 amp stands in the shop now. but should be finished by friday, so actually you caught me at a good time. i have 3 quotes on custom work out there now waiting on response. i do all orders in the order that they pay, no matter how big or small, i found its the best way. with that in mind if you ordered today the turn around would be about 2 weeks, i usually finish quicker but with thanksgiving, I'm sure my lumberyard will be closed for a couple of days. so if i can help in anyway please do not hesitate to ask. my email is [email protected], email me and if intrested i can send you some more pictures of other builds, and the one that I'm working on now. also Bob i do things little different from other stand builders, i take pictures of the build and update you with pictures and words so you will know at any time where am with your stand. please check my feedback so far all the customers here and on eBay have enjoyed this communication, if you need different size let me know. my first concern with my stands is the quality of the sound that you will obtain from your system, maple far out performs any other material for isolation and vibration control, period. the reason so many rack builders have stopped using wood is that its expensive and difficult to work with, metal fabricators are a dime a dozen. wood workers are few and far between. so i would love to talk to ya more on your build, if you would like email me and ill send ya more pictures, thanks again, Mike
Hello! I need wood stand.Do you have ready-made shelfs?What about 1900$ inluding shipping?Vlad
Hey Vlad, thanks for the interest in my products. I only do 1 stand at a time, most of my customers want something different size wise and number of shelfs. the shelf i am currently working on and will be done today is 60inches long and 30 inches high with 3 shelfs. and they are to large to have a stock on hand. if you ordered 1 today it would ship in 10 days to 2 weeks. please keep in mind that these stands are heavy, between 200 and 300 lbs, so if i paid for shipping it would eat all my profit. at the price im charging im only making about $3.00 a hour, so why do i do it, im getting close to retirement, and enjoy music, and woodworking and like what im doing. And i have no employees. if you like you could come to my house and pick it up i have had many customers drive over 10 hrs one way to get there stands. sorry thats the best i could do. these would have to be sent freight, and with packing material it would be $300. to $400. there are plenty of sellers who offer free shipping, but they just raise the price or make a stand thats a whole lot lighter and comes apart, which is im my opinion a weak point, and thats not what i do. this wood is way to heavy to be held in by a screw. Thanks again, if i can help in anyway please do not hesitate to ask, Mike
