AD1 - Complete set of NOS NIB tubes for build a finest Single
ended amplifier
For my most
cherished project to build a finest Single ended amplifier I was getting and
collecting these very hard to find tubes,
but now for a financial doldrums I am forced to sell.
The tube set or lot to sale onsists of:
2 x 4683 / AD1 Philips Miniwatt NOS, same factory codes: 4C FBC, absolutely
news, never used, only for the full tested strong in the AVO 160 tube tester. The 4683 is the strong
AD1 version.
2 x AF7 Philips Miniwatt, absolutely news, never used, sealed prior to the actual
photos,
Beautiful tubes, ideal driver for AD!.
2 x C3m Siemens, NOS NIB, never used, excellent tube driver for AD1 SET
amplifier.
2 x AZ1 Philips Miniwatt full wave rectifier. nice with AD1 SET
2 x AX50 Triotron full wave rectifier, NOS NIB, nice for AD! SET amplifier.
The total price is for the 10 tubes.
The AD1 is famed
German triode output tube of the 1930's, can be considered the final and best
development of DHT, and at the same time this tube closes the period of Triodes.
Unlike
tubes like 45, 2A3, and 300B not a great quantity of AD1 were made.
After the
war, the AD1 was an expensive tube and the answer to that was using indirectly
pentodes. These were tubes like AL4, which is at the beginning of the
evolutionary tree, ending with EL34.
AD1 is in
the list of top-10 most sought after DHT tubes today and the most favorite
DHT tubes in Japan, Yamamoto and Kurashima use this tube in their current SET amplifiers.
Any question is welcome and will be quick response.
BTW I have the PSU with power transformer from the Telefunken 686WK,
legendary radio 1937.
