McIntosh MR-71

Offered for sale, my McIntosh MR-71 Tuner. One of the last ones, serial # 1U056.  Completely aligned and serviced by Audio Classics about 3-4 years ago and worked on by the Master himself, Richard Modafferi, with the "Modafferi Modification" added. See what is included in this mod at Audio Classics.com, and click in the upper right corner on "mods".Has the sweet, sweet sound of all original tubes (circa 1968-69 manufacture) that just really can't be duplicated. Maybe not quite in the class of a well serviced and aligned Marantz 10B, but getting pretty close with this one. Chassis basically Beautiful. Shiny and fresh-looking. I think I'm the second owner, but not certain. Breaks my heart to sell this piece, but time to downsize (other tube components will be offered) and where I've retired to doesn't have much in the way of FM (sob, give anything for a good jazz station). Will be lovingly and carefully shipped from Central Florida. Manuals are available from Audio Classics.  Rating of 8 due to age, but a beautiful, well cared for vintage unit.
