McIntosh components are so well-built that even their tuners often weight as much as or more than others' power amps. The classic look that makes it so beautiful also makes it difficult to do it justice in photos because the face plate is a mirror for the room. Odd button-like objects in the photos are the photographer's clothing.

This same owner owned the McIntosh C32 preamp and McIntosh MC2205 power amp we have listed separately. They have all had little to no use the last 5 years or more. We spent a good portion of the day enjoying these amazing components. If you are interested in all three units you should let us know. The last photo is of all three units before any cleaning.

In testing tuners is is always necessary to attach at least a dipole or wire to check stereo triggering and alignment. Not this one, We received an amazing number of stations without an antenna!

Some folks believe this is the best FM tuner ever made. Everyone seems to agree it is one of the three best and has the best sensitivity and selectivity.

Based on the excellent condition both cosmetically and sonically, we believe this tuner is well worth the price. We have found a MR78 box and this will be included!
