Sansui TU-9900 SUPER TUNER (NEAR MINT)

This is a true collectors piece, Known to be one of the finest sounding and best looking Tuners ever made! It has been completely refurbished by Avatar Engineering, ( A 15+ hour service) which includes:
New front glass unbreakable (polycarbonate ), along with a professionally resurfaced top cover in original factory color!
• Removed and replaced all electrolytic polarized and bipolar capacitors throughout the Tuner and replaced them with Hi-end Elna Silmic 2, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic and Acon caps. Most replacements are also higher voltage and temperature rated for ultimate performance and longevity.
• Power Supply capacitors were replaced with much larger and vastly better performing audiophile capacitors.
• Standard rectifiers were replaced with Ultra Fast soft recovery Vishay rectifiers.
• Any out of spec or marginal resistors were replaced with 1% Vishay/Dale, Holco and Shinkoh Tantalum metal film units.
• Replaced 2 standard opamps with high performance AD797 OPAMPS, These precision units were installed with plug-in adaptors to facilitate easy replacement (opamp rolling) by customer or tech.
• Adjusted Aligned and cleaned, The dial lights were also upgraded to LED!
Any diode, transistor, zener or resistor that was more than 2% off spec was replaced throughout the entire tuner. Replaced several small value electrolytic and tantalum caps with Wima film capacitors in critical areas.
The sound, selectivity and sensitivity are the best we have heard, especially after the opamp upgrade! simple beautiful, Aside from some very minor scuffs it is in pristine condition.
