Basis Audio 1400 With Basis/Rega 900 Arm

I am pricing this well below Bluebook value. Here's your chance to get a Basis turntable (with bearings that last 40 years without maintenance and the best manufacturing in the industry) at a bargain-basement price.

Basis turntables are among the very highest quality tables at any price - every model. You can also find reports on the web stating that the 1400 sounds at least as good as the suspended (and more expensive) 2000/2001.

This one operates absolutely flawlessly. No issues of any kind with the table or arm.

The arm was sold by Basis though is a Rega RB900 - until not long ago their absolute top-of-the line arm.

Two belts are included, one new (from LP Gear).

I've had other Basis tables with suspension (the 2500 and Ovation) and was slightly worried this model would be far inferior. That is not the case at all: It has the Basis house sound (neutral, with tons of musical nuance) which I attribute to the very tight tolerances and quality, especially of the main bearing.

(A plus with unsuspended tables is that footfalls on suspended floors are no problem.)

All original packing included, with manual, including the nice wooden Rega box for the arm.

Also included are all tools needed for setup, including the Rega cartridge alignment guide.

I do not know the ownership history, so can't answer questions about that. As I said, it's in excellent shape and operates wonderfully. This could be somebody's last table and arm unless you really want to spend $10,000 or have the latest toy.
