Basis Audio 1400 With Basis/Rega 900 Arm Clear

This one pains me to sell - because it's so beautiful. I'd never had a clear table before; this one is really a looker.

Basis turntables are among the very highest quality tables at any price - every model. The main bearing is built to last 30 years.

This one operates absolutely flawlessly. No issues of any kind with the table or arm.

The arm was sold by Basis though is a Rega RB900 - until not long ago their absolute top-of-the line arm.

I've had other Basis tables with suspension (the 2500 and Ovation) and was slightly worried this model would be far inferior. That is not the case at all: It has the Basis house sound (neutral, with tons of musical nuance) which I attribute to the very tight tolerances and quality, especially of the main bearing.

(A plus with unsuspended tables is that footfalls on suspended floors are no problem.)

All original packing included, with manual.

I do not know the ownership history. As I said, it's in excellent shape and operates wonderfully. This could be somebody's last table & arm unless you really want to spend $10,000 or have the latest toy.
