Basis Audio Basis Audio 2800 Signature Vacuum Turntable

For Sale is my Basis 2800 Turntable with Vacuum platter and hold down system. Earlier in 2016 I contacted A.J. Conti about having my Basis 2800 gone over and fully upgraded the current signature Status. As a result of this conversation, I sent the table back to Basis with the intention of it being my reference until I could afford the Inspiration at a later time. Reguatabally, several months later my personal family situation changed and I decided to sell this great table after the upgrades were already completed. I have owned both the 2800 and 2500 tables over the years and much prefer the 2800 for its ability to keep the record perfectly flat and present a much blacker background with quieter and more nuanced sound that is very apparent and obvious to the listener with a direct comparison. No need for a record clamp with this hold down system as it is the best in the industry with the Vacuum Platter system and external Vacuum Air pump - hose assembly. This has the superb fluid-damped suspension system. While at the Basis factory in new Hamshire, any worn parts were replaced with new parts including a new motor that is Sychro Wave Power Supply ready with a Din like connector. I will include a Basis By-pass box that will allow the owner to plug the motor into the wall and run it without synhro or you can add the external synhro power supply at a later time and the motor will already be wired for it without having to send the square motor back to the factory to be re-wired. This table will perform as new and the new buyer can rest assured every part of the 2800 is within specification to Basis Audio very high standards. in 2016 the factory went through every part and component in the turntable assembly and tested it. Even the rubber seal on the top of the platter has been replaced to provide a better air tight seal. The Motor, feet, vacuum pump and bearing assembly have all been upgraded to the Signature status. The sale will include new filters and silencers along with new cable and hoses for the pump. Cosmetically I would rate the entire table system as a whole 8.5/10 (Conservative). This state of the art table will perform as new due to the significant upgrades to the current model. The first photos shows the Basis 2800 assembled when I had it set up at my house prior to the upgrades. Please note the Vector arm, phono cartridge and Basis Calibrator Base are not included. The other detail photos show various components that make up the whole. A standard Basis belt is included. Also included is a owners manual. The table Was recently shipped back to me (Dec 2016) from Basis Audio and will include all of the proper packing as can be seen by the photos. The Boxes were opened to take some detailed photos of the various parts that make up the whole turntable assembly then the parts were put back into the box for safe keeping until shipping to the new owner. This table has Not been set up or used since returning from the factory (I already sold most of my system).There will be three separate boxes that make up the whole turntable.
