I am offering up a CJ Walker 55 turntable for sale. It comes with a Grace 707 Tonearm. It currently has a Grado cartridge on it so you can play records and start enjoying your purchase immediately, but it is my understanding that the cartridge is not a great match for the Grace tonearm. I have no dustcover for it. The base has been painted. Not sure if one could restore it back to the original veneer or not, but I think it looks pretty good as it is.
I've owned this for over 15 years and used it at my record shop for most of those years. Every time we got a turntable in, I tested it against the Walker. I never got one that beat the Walker until last year. I think it soundly trounces all the modern entry level audiophile turntables in the $400-$500 range. It is pictured here with a Funk Firm Achromat that I can include for an additional $75 if the buyer wishes.
I am currently only offering this one for local pick-up. I'm just not comfortable packing turntables for shipping.
