It was 50 years ago, The Beatles released Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. In honor of this historic album, called the greatest album of all time by Rolling Stone, Pro-Ject has introduced a Limited Edition of the Essential Turntable. NEW IN THE BOX.  ProJect started manufacturing turntables in the 1990s and is credited in bringing the re-birth of vinyl because they made excellent precision turntables at at reasonable prices. They have been top rated in all the audio publications. ProJect makes virtually every part, even the screws.  The Limited Edition Essential III upgrades include an aluminum laser cut pulley.  The platter is a heavy acrylic design that sells as an upgrade for $139 by itself. You see through the acrylic platter a large imprint of the Sgt Pepper Drum. It is very very cool.  Special high quality interconnects are also included in this Limited Edition.  An 8.6 inch aluminum tonearm is premounted with an Ortofon OM5e elliptical magnetic cartridge. The turntable is totally manual. You must change the pulley belt to change speeds from 33 to 45. It does not play 78s.  The plinth is a heavy design combined with the special feet. This does an excellent job of preventing acoustic feedback for such an affordable table.  Included FREE is a copy of the 50th Anniversary remix and remaster of the vinyl album. This re do of the classic was conducted by Giles Martin, Sir George Margin's son. It was approved by the living Beatles.  Included FREE is a copy of 167 page hard cover book by noted Beatles expert, Bruce Spizer (his 8th book) and consultant to Apple Records.  Shipping in lower 48 only, not shipping to Alaska or Hawaii or outside the US. Turntable will be double boxed.  Questions... help balancing arm, etc call Mark at 504 834 5454
