This is one of the classiest turntable you will find for under $2,000. Its a direct drive unit and almost fuss free to use. Just put on a record, select the correct speed (33 or 45 RPM) and hit the start button. The arm will auto cue to the start of the record and automatically let itself down and presto, music is produced. You can even manually select which track to play or replay but cueing the arm to the start of the track. All very simple and very effective.
We just had the table fully restored to its original specs at a cost of nearly $900. Twenty seven caps were replaced, arm was re-tune and a new cartridge installed. Now it plays like its original glory years. Its amazing how "analog" it sounds with its original simple cartridge and setup, although back in the day, this was a jaw dropping, eye popping turntable. It even has a automated brush cleaner to brush away any contaminants on the needle! Try finding this feature in any of the current sub-$2,000 turntable. Our asking price of $1,295 is much lower than the $1,500 unit that got sold elsewhere last month that wasn't fully restored like ours and in worst off condition.
Cosmetically, the turntable is in great shape for its age. The usual scuff marks from use, nothing major. Rear cover hinge has a minor crack but its very minor. The cueing arm on the headshell has broken off but it really serves no purpose since it is all auto on this unit. One previous owner since new. We don't have the original box but will securely pack it for safe shipping. Of course local pickup is the much preferred option for this "small" collectible treasure.
