Update. This turntable comes with the Grado "Blue" cartridge I installed on it just a month ago and paid $110 for.
This is a real nice Technics SL-23 belt drive turntable from 1978. I just bought it from the original owner a few months ago to see if I liked vinyl. I surely do and it's time for an upgrade.
The gentleman that I bought it from took extremely good care of it as you can see. Not one scratch, ding or dent. Even the dust cover is shiny and clear with no obvious scratches. It features auto return that parks the arm and turns off power when the record is over. The arm seems very stable and has the correct geometry.
I upgraded a few things. I put nice RCA's on the back and wired it internally with very well shielded cable, replaced and moved the power cord away from the RCAs and replaced all the electrolytic capacitors. I assumed they would be a bit dried out after that many years and they were.
The speed stays steady and the unit operates flawlessly. It's truly a museum piece! Comes with a slightly used Grado "Blue" cartridge ($110), the original owners manuel, full line Technics brochure, 45 adaptor, brand new belt and spare, stylus gauge for installing a cartridge and new head shell wires (gold plated).
And on top of all that, it sounds fantastic! It's totally made me an analog guy after many years of denying it.
My price includes PayPal fees, very careful packing and insured FedEx Ground shipping. Let me know if you have any questions.
