Introducing the 'Atmosphere' line of plinths, by Woodsong Audio. This is a top quality plinth for instances where budget is more of a concern. The core of Atmosphere plinths is time proven recipe of a stack of laminated Russian Birch plywood, finished in a 1.8mm +/- lamination of various exotic hardwoods. The Atmosphere line has the same unrivaled fit and finish as our top line plinths. The interior of the plinth, as well as the underside, is finished in a textured acrylic coating, adding longevity, durability, and beauty. In our opinion, this represents the highest quality plinth available anywhere, for the price.
An IEC AC inlet on the rear of the plinth delivers power to the motor unit, and, a tonearm well leading through a port on the rear of the plinth allows for easy routing of the phono cable. Also, there is a port directly beneath the tonearm, should you choose to lead the phono cable straight down, and then out.
There is a large venturi directly beneath the TD124 motor to allow for convective air flow to keep the unit running cool.
This plinth is in Caribbean Rosewood, also known as 'Chechem'. The photos do not really do this one justice. It is a chatoyant wood, mildly figured, with rich grain, a classic look. It is gorgeous. The finish is the signature Woodsong polished oil finish which really needs to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate. The wood is highly polished prior to oiling. It is a finish that belongs in an art gallery.
Armboards and/ or footers are available on request.
Included in the installation kit, is a custom wiring harness, new M5 studs for your TD124, a Furutech IEC AC Inlet, and mounting hardware.
Plinth will be shipped in a plywood and foam lined crate. For many international destinations, the actual shipping amount may be less than what is shown in this listing. Please inquire for exact international rates.
I will be away from 9/29 - 9/2, with no communication, and will reply to messages promptly when I return.
Woodsong Audio has been creating heirloom quality plinths for the past 12 years. In case you missed it, check out the July issue of Stereophile magazine, Art Dudley's 'Listening'; column, where a Woodsong Garrard plinth is reviewed.
