Selling an Aries Scout that has basically been updated to a Scout Prime but with a thicker platter. Comes with nearly all the upgrades available for this model - the 300 rpm motor, 1.75-inch TNT acrylic platter and associated bearing, mini-HRX feet and a Soundsmith Counter Intuitive. I will throw in the razor-thin cork/rubber mat I use as well. Otherwise, has the stock JMW 9-inch tonearm with VTA adjustment (not-on-the-fly but pretty darn easy), original alignment jig, an extra belt and a Delrin record clamp. Operates perfectly with no motor noise.  Two very slight cosmetic blemishes, neither of which affect play: The platter has two very light dents on the top - maybe a millimeter each - that were there when it first shipped. The plinth has a slight, less-than-thumbnail peel on the underside that you won't see unless the table is upside down. Everything else is in perfect condition. Comes in original box. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Questions for the seller
Hi, does your table come with a cartridge? If so, which one? Also, were you the original owner and/or how long has it been in use? Thanks, Adam
Hi Adam, The table comes with a combination Grado Black cartridge with an 8MZ stylus. The stylus upgrades the cart quite a bit, and you can find a lot of good reviews on the combination on the Internet. I’m the second owner of the table. I have only had it for a couple of months as I lucked into a very good deal for a Classic 1 with dustcover (I think it was a divorce sale). I’m not sure how long the original owner had it. The table got moderate use when I had it up and running - a record or two a night, when possible. I don’t know how familiar you are with VPIs, but they are very rugged - this is not a fragile machine in the slightest. Let me know if you want more photos or have any more questions.
