VPI Industries Aries 3 with JMW 12.7 tapered metal tonearm, New In Box; PRICE REDUCTION

New VPI Aries 3 reference turntable with JMW 12.7 metal tonearm, factory A stock, sealed in original factory boxes and purchased from VPI authorized dealer.  This is
the latest iteration of the Aries 3 reference turntable and was made by VPI in January
2016.  Will ship in 2 factory boxes.  The Aries 3 approaches the performance level of the HR-X reference turntable but with a smaller more manageable footprint.  Retail price for this Aries 3 was $8000.  I'll also include a new Gingko custom tabletop dust cover made for the Aries 3.  The Gingko cover is new and still sealed in original factory box.  A $400 value for this custom cover.

I've included a stock photo of the Aries 3.  Please note that the turntable for sale has the optional longer JMW 12.7 metal tonearm, a $2000 upgrade over the standard 10 inch metal tonearm.

high torque and quiet operation installed in separate aluminum and steel machined
assembly.

Inverted bearing with hardened stainless steel shaft, 60 Rockwell chrome hardened
ball, spinning in a phosphor bronze bushing and sitting on a PEEK thrust
disc.  The belt side load is placed at the center of the spinning bearing for
zero teeter-tooter effects.

Classic 20 pound aluminum platter
machined from 6061 aluminum to +/- .001” in a 39” circumference.

Stainless
steel/Delrin record clamp.

Motor pulley has an accuracy of +/- .0005” when
leaving factory.
