Up for sale is my recently acquired VPI traveler (bought May 3rd 2016). I'm the second owner and its a low hour dealer trade that I picked up. I bought it with an advertised 25-30 hours and a brand new 2M red cartridge. I listened to it for about 20 hours and upgraded to the 2M blue stylus. Since the blue was installed I have roughly 50 hours of time on the cart.
Both cartridges are included (blue with 50 hours, red with 20 hours). Also included is the alignment template that VPI sent me for this arm and table. Recommend using a bit of plastic to make one that is more robust.
This is the second version (different feet, more durable tone arm, and power button with wall wart); everything works terrifically.
I do not have the original box. But the HiFi shop I bought this from packaged it very well (tone arm in its own padded box), and a lot of Styrofoam and bubble wrap. I was nervous boxing it back up. But once I got it all sorted I'm very happy with how well its packaged.
I have the original mat and including a black full grain leather mat as well (not pictured).
I adore this table. It plays music with some character and is a joy to listen too. I just recently had an unexpected opportunity to move up to a new Scout. And I don't have any reason to keep both. I will say that I almost kept the traveler and sold the Scout. I like this table that much; not a huge difference between the two really.
