Audio Desk Pro Record Cleaner. As new, FRESH 9/10 condition in clean factory boxes (see pictures).
NOTE: This is the holy grail of record cleaners.
It is BEST to call for further details.
"The Most Effective, Easy-To-Use Record-Cleaning Machine I've Ever Tried" – Michael Fremer, Stereophile.
Audio Desk Systeme's Vinyl Cleaner Pro is the first and only LP cleaning machine that incorporates an ultrasonic cleaning cycle. In addition to the ultrasonic method, Vinyl Cleaner Pro also uses more conventional mechanical cleaning via bi-directional rotating microfiber cleaning drums. The result of these two methods used together is the cleanest LP ever.
Not only is the Audio Desk cleaning system unbelievably thorough, but it is fully automatic, too. You've never experienced a record cleaning machine that is so easy to use. Just set your LP in the slot, push the button, and come back in five minutes. You'll be rewarded with a meticulously cleaned and completely dry LP – and both sides are cleaned and dried at the same time.
- Record cleaning machine with mechanical and ultrasonic cleaning
- Safe low level ultrasonic cleaning dislodges contaminants all the way to the bottom of the LP groove
- Bi-directional mechanical surface cleaning using microfiber-covered barrels
- Fluid filtration to remove contaminants
- Filtered air drying via electric fan to avoid the introduction of a dust-attracting static charge to the LP surface
- One-button full automation
- Dimensions: 13" x 10.7" x 8"
- Weight: 12 lbs.
Clean Your LPs Down to the Microscopic Level
Ultrasound is sound that is generated above the frequency level of human hearing. A physical effect called "cavitation" results from the generation of ultrasonic frequencies in a liquid. In turn, this cavitation process causes ultrasonic "compression waves" to be created. These waves help clean your LPs.
When the amplitude of these compression waves increases to a level where the surface tension of the liquid is broken, the fluid will 'tear apart,' leaving behind millions of microscopic vacuum bubbles. The vacuum bubbles then rapidly compress or implode, creating millions of tiny liquid jets small enough to clean inside the smallest grooves of an LP. This process (known as microagitation) displaces any contaminants on the surface of the LP, cleaning down to the microscopic level.
The sonic benefits of ultrasonic record groove cleaning are outstanding. Whole new layers of inner detail and air are revealed in the recordings, and along the way most surface noise is eliminated.
Proprietary Cleaning Fluid
The Systeme Vinyl Cleaner Pro comes with two vials of a proprietary cleaning fluid developed specifically for this machine. A container of the fluid concentrate plus 4 liters of distilled water (just over a gallon) cleans up to 200 new LPs, or 100 used LPs.
History of the Systeme Vinyl Cleaner
The development of the Systeme Vinyl Cleaner took designer Reiner Gläss four long years beginning in 2006. The first prototype was a somewhat primitive "brute force" ultrasonic machine, actually quite similar to a couple of ultrasonic-only cleaning machines which are currently being marketed for LP cleaning by other companies. But brute force and LPs don't mix well. Keep in mind that the bottom of the LP groove where the pointy diamond wants to track can be less than a half micron in size, and the modulations within the groove are even smaller and more fragile. They can be damaged by ultrasound if too much force is generated.
And so began three more years of R&D for designer Reiner Gläss to reduce the ultrasonic power which needed to be applied for safe and effective LP cleaning.
Counter-Rotating Microfiber-Covered Barrels
The addition of four counter-rotating microfiber-covered barrels as the primary means for the surface cleaning of fingerprints and other grime allows for a significant reduction in ultrasonic wattage. It also serves an important fluid management function by wicking the ultrasonic agitation away from the LP surface into the cleaning solution where contaminants can be filtered. This fluid management is important because otherwise the contaminants that the ultrasonic vibration removes from the surface of the record can end up back onto the LP surface.
Another improvement in cleaning efficiency allowing for a further reduction in the need for ultrasonic power was achieved through introduction of a cleaning solution surfactant to make the distilled water a better solvent when used in conjunction with the ultrasonic process.
Gläss finalized his design by adding a fluid filter to clean the re-circulating cleaning solution, and by adding air filters to collect airborne dust which would otherwise be blown back onto the wet surface of the LP during the drying cycle. He included automatic one-button operation, too.
Audio Desk Systeme's Vinyl Cleaner Pro is record cleaning robot that cleans to the bottom of the groove, and then by using fan-assisted air drying, rather than static-inducing suction, leaves the user with a thoroughly cleaned record with no static charge attracting airborne dust.
