Up for sale here is an Audiopphile Vibration Control Birch Edge Series Turn table isolation platform made from the same extensional damping materials as our isolation blocks.

Size is 18" x 20" x 2-1/2" thick (4” total height with spikes) and the color is charcoal black (other colors available on request). It weighs in at a little over 23 pounds with the spikes installed. It consists of a middle layer of 2" thick Baltic Birch plywood  34 ply void-free) sandwiched between two layers of our very durable 1/4" cork material (think of our cork material as a cross between cork and linoleum) for a total of 36 vibration killing layers.

The cork makes a durable non-skid surface that gives slightly. Both the cork and the edges have a polyurethane finish and the platforms comes with high quality spikes installed as shown as well as floor discs.The spikes screw into metal threaded inserts and can be adjusted for height or removed.

This is an extremely dense and inert platform that does an excellent job of preventing vibrations from reaching your turn table which means better sound. Great for improving the SQ all types of equipment such as turn tables, amps, pre-amps, sources, etc. at a price that doesn't break the bank.

I just received this email from a good customer who bought a custom 2-1/2" thick Birch Edge platform for his TTW GEM V2 TT:

Hey Mike, So I placed the platform on (6) blocks. Four in corners and two in middle. Put on my reference vinyl and could not move out of my listening chair. The sound flattened out and flowed like a new album. Before with the Ginko Audio the TT rumble was noticeable, highs were rather bright and bass lacked fullness to the overall presentation. I then proceeded to throw on more vinyl and WOW! Everyone was like a new album. Can I attribute this all to your platform? Well yes and no. According to TTW Audio, my GEM V2 requires a solid base. Since listening to it on the Gingko, the sound was ok but the noise from the motor was audible through the speakers. With your platform noise floor from the motor was inaudible. In fact I would tap on the platform and zippo, nada, nothing came through the speakers. I tried that once with the Gingko and was very careful not to touch/rub its platform for fear of nasty rumbles coming through my Salk's. All I can say is thanks for designing and building a rather nice tweak that has loving my TTW and your platform and blocks. I can't wait to have the same boys with their toys guys come back for my systems re-grand opening. I and they will be amazed even more! Cheers man! (a cup of green tea for me though..)
