Hickok 6000B Mutual Conductance Tube Tester - Excellent Cosmetic and Operating Condition!

This tester was designed by Hickok for accuracy, portability and ease of use. All solid state circuitry contributes to its rock solid reliability. The Hickok 6000B is more accurate than the earlier 6000 and 6000A models because it uses a scale on the meter to set the exact bias. One of the advantages of this tester is that it's solid state circuitry does not require expensive and ongoing calibration. In addition, it's very easy to use even for an amateur, has a small footprint and is lighter than the earlier 6000 and 6000A models.

This tester will test for mutual conductance (it has three scales and reads directly in micromhos), shorts, quality, grid current/gas, life and filament continuity. It comes with the original owner's manual as well as additional book containing the owner's manual, tube data chart and service hints.

I worked as a technician in the audio repair trade for many years and thoroughly checked all functions on this tester as well as all controls and switches. The readings on this tester with a variety of tubes were then checked against my recently calibrated TV-7 military tube tester and were found to be in very close tolerance.

This tester has been lightly used over the years and, as shown in the pictures, is in excellent cosmetic condition.
