Kemp Elektroniks SR Plug Schumann Resonance Generator (demo unit)

This is one of the best tweaks you'll ever find. It's system independent, so it's not one of those devices that works great on some systems, but detracts from others. These are so good, we hand them out to our local clients like candy, insisting that they just give it a try.

Here's how to use it. Plug it into your power conditioner or a regular outlet (the sound can be different, depending on where it's connected) and extend the antenna wire up the back wall, between your speakers. Play some music (preferably at a time when there's not a lot of outside noise going on). Close your eyes and listen, then turn the device level up to 50%. Listen for the ticks and shimmer of the symbols to start to have more dimension and feel like they're closer to you, more real and focused. Play with adjusting the knob at different positions and with various types of music, until you find the level setting you prefer. One of the best tuning tracks we've found is Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Never Going Back Again. Higher settings will give more detail, but too high will reduce the timbre of the tone, the right setting depends your room, system and preference.

Schumann pulse generators work wonders on your sound. However, the Kemp unit is the only one that we would consider selling online or to my clients, because it has an adjustable intensity control. Some people are very sensitive, physically, to the Schumann frequency, especially before they become acclimated to it.

For a small percentage of people who are very sensitive to the signal, prolonged exposure to a full intensity, non-adjustable signal can be fatiguing. The intensity knob allows you to lower the level to a point that's comfortable, then after about a month you will be able to turn the level up. However, for the vast majority of people this is not an issue.

What is the Schumann Resonance?

In 1952, the German physicist Wilfried Otto Schumann discovered that the cavity between the earth and ionosphere acts as an electromagnetic resonant cavity. Energized by electrical discharges (lightning), very low frequency resonances are created around the earth. The lowest frequency (the fundamental) has a frequency of only 7,83 Hz which corresponds with a wavelength of 38,000 km/24,000 miles (the circumference of the earth is about 40,000 km/25,000 miles). The ionosphere protects us against harmful radiation from the sun and from out of space, there are indications that the so-called Schumann Resonance plays a role in this. On the earth, mankind is creating more and more high frequency radiation. RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) and EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) will pollute your A/V set and, according to certain people, also your listening room and your body.

What does it do?

The newly generated 7.83 Hz wave by the SCHUMANN RESONANCE PLUG will counteract the effects of this radiation. With the SR PLUG, you will notice a clearer sound with a richer timbre, more details, a deeper soundstage and a more powerful and dynamic sound.

The SR PLUG relies on a fully different principle than all other mains related products. Thus, the SR PLUG cannot degrade the effect of other products. On the contrary, the positive effects do enhance each other.

Where to install?

For best results, we advise to position the wire antenna vertically in the middle between your loudspeakers. Most practical way to do so, is to attach the antenna to the wall behind them. Under most circumstances, the middle position of the level adjuster is the most pleasant one, but feel free to turn it up a little more, in which case you'll hear more detail and precision. However, you may notice a slight decrease in timbre, but this will mainly depend on the set used, the listening room and your personal preferences.
