MAGNEPAN 3.7i/ 3.7 FUSE BYPASS KIT NO SOLDERING - a Must for tube amps, Much better Imaging (also 3.6, 3.6R)

Magnepan is one of our favorite speaker brands, though in stock form we would not own them. You may have read about the Fuse bypass, well this does close to the same thing by removing the fuses and replacing them with a solid high purity silver tube. In addition, it is a must to get rid of the Maggie jumpers and use a high quality jumper instead. Who wants to run the signal through nickel plated brass ? Maggies are just too responsive for anything but high purity metals in the signal path in our opinion. So we include 4 10AWG jumpers made from teflon insulated Silver Plated copper.
On purpose we have shown you a one year old set so you can see how the oxidation will naturally occur. With pure silver this is not a concern. In fact some people like the sound of oxidized silver.

You can expect much more open airy highs, imaging gets more focused and instruments become separated to a further degree.

Please use at your own risk, as this takes away the protection from your panels. If you are responsible and turn off the amp when changing interconnects, etc, you should be fine. This is a must in our opinion when using Maggies with Tubes. In fact, we recommend removing the whole fuse plate and all the binding posts, but that is much more involved and takes a soldering iron. This is the simple, easy way to just plug in gains across the board. If you are already attenuating mids or highs down, then this kit may not be for you.
