Vandersteen 1C

I am the second owner of this beautiful pair of Vandersteen 1C’s… and while I’ve loved them, I need to down size even further, so here’s a great chance to pick up a pair of the difficult-to-find-used vandys. I’ve had the 2Ce’s and the 3 Sig’s, and the 1C’s have all the same wonderful sonic attributes (beautiful mids, nice bass, balanced presentation), just on a smaller scale. I believe this is the Walnut or Dark Oak finish. Sorry, but I don’t have the original boxes, and would thus prefer not to ship. If these are a “must have” for you, I’m sure we can work something out, but I’d be willing to deliver or meet anywhere between Charlotte and Asheville NC. Mine is a no-smoking, no-pet, no children household, so speaker socks are in pristine condition. Please note that the seeming discoloration in the photo is actually the flash showing the opaque part of the speaker sock; the darker bottom is the cabinet for the woofer. The wood panels are nearly mint as well save for the tiniest of nicks on the right speaker… it shows worse with the flash than it actually is, but want to be thorough in my description. Speakers come with Sound Anchors sand-filled stands. Serial numbers are available to confirm with Vandersteen that these are indeed 1C’s. While I regret having to part with these speakers, someone will be very happy to get them I’m sure. Retail price is 1149 for the speakers and 105 for the bases... asking price is for the package.
