The Vandersteen Model 2W augments the deep bass response of your present speakers. It provides the power, dynamics and low frequency detail required for superlative reproduction of music and handles the dynamic bass found in movies.
It assumes responsibility for deep reproduction, improving the mid-bass and midrange response of your system. The Model 2W is unmatched in bass reproduction and musicality.

Three eight-inch drivers are used rather than a single large woofer. The three drivers equal the cone area of a fourteen-inch woofer but with superior transient ability.
The drivers are downward firing in a front slot-loaded, second-order configuration, a design known for superb bass detail and dynamics. The system Q is .5, which optimizes the balance between transient response and bass extension.
The drivers are connected to a built-in 300-watt amplifier.

DRIVERS: Three (3) 8” critically damped long fiber cones with butyl rubber surrounds.
CROSSOVER: 6dB per octave at 80Hz.
INTERNAL AMP: 300 watt with no current limiting. Adjustable sensitivity to match speakers from 82 to 94dB efficiency.
SYSTEM: Second order, slot loaded. Q=.5.
PHYSICAL: 18.5” high x 18” wide x 17” deep. 90 pounds gross. 80 pounds net.
