New in May 2011. The ebony finish is perfect, no marks or blemishes. These Quatros have the upgraded mid driver, the same as the 5A driver. Quatros purchased prior to May do not have the upgraded mid. These are being replaced by the 5A with the Carbons or they wouldn't be for sale. These are a speaker that is high in "Wife Approval" and can perform in a variety of settings big or small. These are hard to let go! The speakers were used in the Toronto Audio Video and Entertainment Show at which they were given "Best Sound in Class" and "Best Sound of Show".
