VPI HRX "Special Edition"

The "Special Edition" (my own term) HRX must not be confused with the "standard" HRX. It is not available by special order. I believe only three of them were ever made. I believe a speaker company uses one to voice their speakers. Too heavy, too expensive to manufacture. Instead of the "standard" HRX acrylic-aluminum-acrylic body, the "SE" is made of solid aluminum. It also comes with the super platter and the rim drive. It is a great turntable anyone who loves vinyl should consider. I'll spare you the cliches, but IMHO it is superior to just about everything out there. In terms of sonics, it's up there with the big Kuzma. A true class "A" turntable. The best table made by VPI, by far.

The table comes with the famous rim drive, super platter, stainless steel center weight, periphery ring clamp, SDS motor drive and 12.6 tonearrm.
