VPI HW-19 Mk 3 Turntable with Armboard cut for Rega or JMW-9

For you consideration is an excellent example of a VPI HW-19 MkIII turntable in oak finish with armboard. The armboard has been cut for a Rega RB 250/300 which is the same pivot to spindle distance as the JMW-9 tonearm. Just drop in one of these popular tonearms and you are ready to go! I will ship promptly in the original VPI carton.

The unit is overall in excellent shape as you can see. The front, sides and top are clean and there are very few cosmetic defects. There are some screw holes and scuffs on the rear of the unit from where the hinged dustcover had been, at at the rear on the top where the prior owner had attached the tonearm junction box. I did some minor touch-ups to smooth them out and you'll likely not notice them once in your system. I will pack this unit with great care. Please note that the tonearm shown in one of the pictures is not included, nor is a dust cover or cartridge.

I used this with the VPI JMW-9 tonearm shown, and the combination was fantastic! I had also owned a VPI Classic with JMW-9 previously, and to my ear there was no discernable difference, except the $1000 saved. I'm confident the Rega arms would have similar results.

In addition to the sorbothane pucks that suspend the platform, I will also include a set of four custom springs for free, and you can experiment. (one of them is missing it's top cap, but it could be easily improvised with a washer or two for a nominal amount).
