VPI PLC in 9/10 cosmetic condition, but 5/10 operational condition. Reason for the 5/10 rating is that it works about half the time. Once it works, it works perfect for a day, week, month, year. When it quits working the platter slows down, then stops and the motor just vibrates. If you flip the power switch on and off fast several times and/or plug and unplug the table's AC cord from the unit, it starts working again for a day, week, month, year.
Also, one of my VPI HW-19 tables, when plugged into the unit, created a nasty 60 cycle buzz/hum. I solved this completely by running a ground wire from inside the unit's star grounding scheme and attached it to one of the table's armboard bolts. This eliminated the problem. The other table worked fine. I have left that ground wire on the unit. You might or might not need it.
It's pretty intermittent and sounds and works great, when it works. VPI will NOT work on these any more. The circuit appears to be pretty simple and I would assume a half way decent tech could fix it. This is one of the later units with the dial speed controls. Unit also includes (2) Audioquest RF Stoppers on the AC power cord.
This is being sold AS IS, thus the very low price.
