LOWERED PRICE. One of the best, if not the best, transport ever produced. Rarely seen in the used market. I am the second owner having purchased this unit in 2002. I had it re-lasered by Wadia in mid-2009 and it has had only about 200 hours put on it since. It has always performed well, but it is not cosmetically perfect (see photos). The original owner apparently stacked the power unit on top of the transport causing a small indentation and a couple of scratches. However, the fronts of both units are unblemished. The plastic grommet where the power cable enters the power unit is cracked, but that does not affect use or performance. I had both units in a custom made hifi component tower, so none of these minor flaws were visible. I probably should rate this 7/10 since the fronts on both are fine, but I'll be conservative at 6/10.
I do not have the original boxes, but I do have the boxes and packing material supplied by Wadia when the unit was re-lasered. The units will be packed in those two boxes, along with the factory remote and the stabilization locking key. I'll also supply a copy of the manual I printed from the Wadia website. No external power cable is provided, just the umbilical from the power unit to the transport. Be advised that this is heavy for shipping purposes. The unit fully packed in two boxes weighs about 75 pounds.
It took a long time for me to decide to part with this transport, but I decided to go back to a one box CD player in an effort to reduce the size of my system and make it more wife-friendly. ( See my other listing for a Zanden Signature 5000 DAC, which is what I had paired with the Wadia.)
I'll accept Paypal, but the buyer is responsible for a 4% fee on the total purchase price including shipping. I'll also accept certified bank checks and postal money orders. No sales outside the continental U.S. My asking price is well below the blue book average, so low ball offers will be kindly ignored. No trades.
