I bought a 4-CH amp for use with my CS2's. It has two 250W modules and two 150W(?) modules. I have not had a chance to hook up the CS2's with it yet as I am still scrambling to find my extra XLR cables, but I AM running the 250W modules to drive my Greybeard KB/3/3's 4ohm nominal (90dB) and 20-20Khz flat response. All Wyred 4 Sound mono amps have a unique buffer input
stage. In addition to better sonics than the stock input stage of the ICE amps, this upgraded input stage allows a perfect match for both solid state as well as tube preamps. The 10K or even 20K in balanced mode of the stock ICE amp is too low for most tube preamps that have output impedance's in the 600 ohm range. Our amps now provide a 61K input impedance, making it a perfect match for tube preamps as well as all solid state preamps. This is indicative of the kind of care that has gone into the development of all Wyred 4 Sound amplifiers. We even had the new input stage specially designed for us by Bascom King. Bascom has done design work for many of the best hi-end brands in the business.

The SX-1000 Series II features both balanced and single ended inputs, along with short circuit and over-current protection.

You will find all specifications listed below, but it is worth noting that these amps have a distortion level below 0.02% & a damping factor of 2000 for superb bass control.

Sonics are exceptional with superb low level resolution, exceptional transparency and tremendous bass detail and extension. There are a number of big name 500 watt ICE based amps that have received Class A reviews all over the world. Rest assured that the SX-1000 MKII is as good or better than any of them.
