Description

The turntable is a Technics MKII (with a remote at the sweet spot), and a Rabco carriage with a unique arm I built. The cartridge is a Spectral MCR Reference. All the digital stuff goes into a Theta Gen 3: Oppo BDP-105 transport and McCormack SST-1A when I'm seriously listening, Sangean tuner, Pioneer PD-F17 and 55" M551d-A2 TV (through the Oppo) when I'm not serious. The Theta, turntable and a Teac v-550x cassette deck feed a Spectral DMC-6. The power amps are Virtual Image StereoBloc Twenty Forty (outputting 36 wpc as monoblocs) feeding Audiostatic Es-100 and SW-100s in a special mount I designed. All wiring is Virtual Image, too. I just sent the amp from my Hsu VTF MK2 for repair. Nice work from HSU!

Thanks tomic601. The Rabco arm has ABEC-7 bearings in aluminum bearing housings (thanks Bear) and a wood composite arm. I did it almost 50 years ago when my vision was good enough to see a one thousandth of an inch error done by a machinist I supervised. If it ever breaks, th th that's all folks!

Cool system and very cool turntable. Not familiar with your amps but they look great.
