Description

I think I’m done. I hope I’m done. I told my wife I was done anyway. Haha
I started this system in 2015 when the oldest moved out and I claimed his room as “My Music Room”. Here’s how I got here in reverse order. (Not everything is listed)
SPEAKERS;
Yamaha NS1000 > B&W Matrix 800 > B&W 801s3 > Genesis 6.1 > NHT Classic 4
AMPS;
Wells Audio Inomorata > Pass Labs 260.8’s > Gato Audio PWR-222 > Luxman m700u > Modwright 150SE > Krell  FBP 300cx > Wadia 400’s > Classe CA200 > Pass Labs 30.8 > Parasound A31
PREAMPS;
Wells Commander L2 > Ayre K5xe mp > Modwright. LS100 > Pass Labs XP32 > Mystere CA21 >   Pass Labs XP12 > Bryston BP26 >  Audio Research LS28 > Rogue Audio Athena >  Krell KRC-3 > Adcom GFP-750
TURNTABLES;
Luxman PD-151 > Dr F Volare > VPI Aries3 > Clearaudio Permormance > VPI Classic1 > plus my JVC ql-y66f that I bought new

This list does not include the numerous DACs, Phono Pre Amps or CD  players.

It’s been a fun journey, albeit not the best financially motivated ride!  But hey, I’ve only spent my kids inheritancell. Just kidding-haha

dj, nice rig using some interesting gear!
It would be fun to have those Yamaha speakers, and it looks like you refurbished them? I have a speaker of approximately the same size but different driver configuration coming to me in hopefully 1 month.

Those stands look nifty; what are they? I will need something similar when the new speakers arrive.

TEAC VRDS-701 is a nice unit full of tricks and special performances when set up well. I wrote a review of that component for Dagogo.com, then bought the review unit mainly for CD playback. However, when it is set up well, especially with my special wiring tricks, it is very capable.

Wells Audio, another very nice component maker. Again, I reviewed a couple of Wells Audio components for Dagogo.com and owned a pair of Akasha, then Innamorata. Super sweet sound quality, very nice!

Cables? What are you doing for cables? With gear like that you owe it to yourself to work with a set of quality cables. And I do mean set, not ad hoc cables.
