Description

After being on the audio merry-go-round the last few years I have finally put together a listening room that is simple yet extremely musically satisfying. My listening room is now in my (18X13) master bedroom since the family keeps on growing. I have carefully selected pieces that provide an incredible value, are very musical and work in tight spaces.

Thanks Jax. I am really happy with this setup and other than going back to either a benchmark dac 1 or dac 2 I don't see any changes in the near future.

Have to agree with Art, the finish on those 42s is sweet! And the contrast with the grey baffle gives them a nice modern look. And I know they sound great : )

The icepower class d amp in incredible. It is by far the best amp I have owned. It is very detailed yet has a very smooth non-fatiguing sound as well. I really can not say enough about this amp. I originally was looking at a Belcanto unit since my space is limited but this unit uses the same class d ice module and sounds just as good imh ampo as Belcanto Ref 500 amp.

How do you like the Icepower amp considering is a class D amp? Alot of power for a very small amp.

Thanks...I have been around the mini-monitor merry-go-round for quite sometime. The Danes are keepers! I was looking at x12's, focus 110 and the audience 42's. I was able to buy these brand new old stock for a good deal. They work great with my new icepower class d amp.

I love the setup! I have a pair of the little Dyn X12's and they replaced Harbeth P3ESR's and without regret. Those 42's have a very nice finish, enjoy!

Thanks. Studio Tech no longer makes speaker stands unfortunately. These were a steal at their closeout price of $99 including shipping. These 4 pillar stands are very solid and extremely heavy.

I like you stands to. I need some better stands.

I absolutely love the audience 42 speakers. I had totem mite's prior to these and the Danes frankly are a nice step up in detail and resolution. I carefully picked each piece that fits into my small space but also offers great sound at a nice value as well. The xda-1 for the money is crazy good. The benchmark is definitely a better unit and that will eventually replace the xda-1 but again for the money it is really good.

Nice system you have there. How do you like the Dynaudio and the XDA-1?

System Update...just added Wywires Juice II pc. I am using this on my Icepower 125asx2 A000B class d amp. All I have to say is...you want to get off the cable merry go round...buy Wywires!

System Update....Just changed out my digital cables to Wywires litespd. I am experiencing quite a difference. The sound has really tighened up and definitely has a bit more detail and bite! Will probably upgrade my pc to Wywires Juice II shortly. I have been reading some amazing reviews of this pc!

Very nice system and I love that amp. Very cool...

You may never want to get out of bed. Nicely done. Great having a good system even in the bedroom. Hope that in time you will reclaim the spaces in the rest of the home. You won't have to travel as far to get a bite to eat as you listen to some tunes. Happy listening.
