I don't think I would either Nixon. But taking his course would give one a better understanding of amplifiers, perhaps making possible better equipment choices.

Bdp24, I've never really thought about building my own electronics, lacking fine motor skills, patience etc. I appreciate the heads up regarding Roger's engineering classes and will pass the information on. Thanks again.

Heykay, yes still enjoying them, my entire system has seen many updates but the Sophia's remain unchanged, thanks again John.

Being in Berkeley, you're close enough to attend Roger Modjeski's engineering classes he's been offering since he relocated up there. If I was still in the Bay Area (grew up in San Jose---Cupertino, actually) I'd do it myself. You can build your own electronics with guidance from one of the living masters!

bdp24

I see you are still enjoying the Sophias.

Thanks Jrinkerptdnet, just luck on the profile of the Sophia's and the late 20's fireplace.

Berkeley is our local store, can't tell you how many hours I've spent with my thumb in the bins over the years. Hollywood must be nice, I wonder if Jack Black shops there?

Thanks Albert, danger is his middle name.

Who says you cannot incorporate modern highend gear into a traditional living space??

Beautiful room! The shape of the Wilson's mirror the shape of your fireplace surround - was that intentional or just luck??

jrinkerptdnet

Amoeba, my favorite place on Earth. I go to the one in Hollywood, you have the San Francisco and Berkeley stores, which I have yet to see. If they're anything like the one down here, aren't you fortunate!

That savage beast looks mighty dangerous.

Beautiful room, thanks for posting.
