Description

This is my favorite room in my modest abode.  I find great happiness listening to music of various media recordings through the analog components as well as enjoying blockbuster video in Dolby Atmos.  I have yet to have a reason to upgrade my Panasonic Plasma to 4K as the picture is outstanding.

I do use the Oppo for Bluray music.  The settings on the Marantz allow different formats for play back.  I have "Dark Side of the Moon" on 5.1 which is absolutely incredible for immursing you into the music.  Friends have commented that they feel like they are at the live performance.  My family recently listened to Brandi Carlile in concert at Red Rock, Co. a fantastic concert to hear on my system. I also have other live performances by various artists on Bluray and it really is better than being there because the visual and audio is perfect without any distractions and the best seat in the house.

Looks amazing.  Do you listen to much multichannel audio? How does it sound compared to movie soundtracks?

Thanks, its took years and I went thru other speakers over the years while I too wanted 802's since I first saw and heard them at the local dealer.  I have been fortunate to have had lots of highend pieces of equipment by buying used from Audiogon or eBay.  Highend equipment is usually not going to loose their sonic greatness just because someone else owned it 1st. In the end its all about finding joy and happiness in your music listening experience with what you do have.

I'm jealous 'cause you have 802's!!!!   Rock ON!
