    • Audio Note UK IO Gold MC Cartridge

The IO Gold uses AlNiCo magnets and Permadure. The cantilever is a thick walled and tapered Titanium tube. It uses Audio Note (UK) 99.99% pure silver wire, and the coil wire extends all the way to the output terminals, avoiding all unnecessary connections. The IO Gold also uses a precision Butyl rubber damper, offering a wide operating temperature range and minimal hysteresis effects. The IO Gold uses an Audio Note Type 1 solid diamond stylus.

    • Audio Note UK CDT-3 Transport

The CDT-3 is a top loading, custom modified Philips CD Pro2LF CD mechanism, power supply with 3 separate mains transformers, Audio Note (UK) AN-Vx silver cable for internal digital signal transfer, silver wired digital output transformer using thin laminated core, Audio Note (UK) Tantalum resistors and custom electrolytic capacitors.

The CDT-Three is equipped with both single ended / RCA 75 Ohm SPDif and balanced / XLR 110 Ohm AES / EBU, transformer coupled, digital outputs.

The CDT-3 is Level 3 in the Audio Note system.

    • Audio Note UK DAC 4.1/X Balanced Signature

The Audio Note DAC4.1x Balanced Signature has no over sampling, no jitter reduction, no noise shaping and no re-clocking. Having removed all of the digital filtering that is required for over sampling, all filtering is done in the analogue domain where it is easier to retain good, wide band phase-frequency and dynamically coherent behaviour. It uses the highest grade Analogue Devices AD1865, 18Bit stereo converter chip solely because we found it to be the best sounding available

The DAC4.1x Balanced Signature features an upgraded version of the M6 Line pre-amplifier output stage, using a pair of 5687 double triode valves. This is coupled to an output transformer, wound with Audio Note (UK) copper wire on a High B Ccore. With a 33:1 step-down ratio, this output transformer not only has exceptionally wide frequency response, but also just about the absolutely best dynamic transfer function possible. The analogue output has provisions for both unbalanced and balanced operation, using the best available quality RCA and XLR connectors.

    Vacuum tube complement:

    1 x ECC82 / 5814a

    1 x 6463 (Balanced Signature version)

    1 x ECL82

    1 x 6X5

    1 x 5651 (Balanced Signature version)

Weight: 19 kg (Balanced Signature version)

The DAC 4.1/X Balanced Signature is Level 4 in the Audio Note system.

    • Audio Note UK AN-S8

Step Up Transformer for low output moving coil cartridges.  The AN-S8 uses Custom Silver Transformers that are manufactured by Audio Note (UK). They use interleaved super mumetal 250 cores, 99.99% pure Silver wire and are housed in large mumetal screening canisters to minimise noise and interference.

    AN-S8/Low Specifications:

Input Impedance:        3 Ohms. Designed for use with the Audio Note (UK) IO range.

    Output Impedance:     47K Ohms

    Channel Balance:        +/- 0.3db

    Internal Wiring:          99.99% Pure Silver

The AN-S8/Low is Level 5 in the Audio Note system.

    • Audio Note UK Pallas
1 Meter 'White' Pallas interconnect used from AN-S8 SUT to M6 Phono Preamp. This cable is Level 4 in the Audio Note system.
    • Audio Note M6 Phono Preamp With Balanced CD Input
M6 Phono Preamp With Balanced CD Input.  High end and highly resolving preamp that is the best that I have ever owned by a large margin.  Still very musical despite the high resolution.  No tubey sound here. The M6 preamp is Level 4 in the Audio Note system.
    • Audio Note Kassai Monoblocks

Pure Class A Single Ended tube mono block amplifiers that are using Western Electric 300B triode vacuum tube. Each amp uses a parallel single ended design that delivers 18 watts per channel. Tube compliment is 2 x 6SN7 (1 per chassis), 4x300B (2 per chassis), 2 x 5U4GB (1 per chassis).

The Kassai amps are Level 4 in the Audio Note system.

    • Vertere Acoustics RG-1 Reference Groove Record Player

Vertere’s Record Player RG-1 Reference Groove uses a super precision main bearing and a two-piece non-resonant platter assembly to provide the most silent platform for the arm and cartridge. The result is the ‘darkest’ background achievable from vinyl, against which every note played and every word sung comes to life.

The main bearing assembly comprises an aerospace-grade phosphor bronze housing, a super-precision tungsten carbide spindle and silicon nitride ball. The housing is machined and finished to the tightest of tolerances, with the bearing spindle sized to ensure the minimum gap possible between the spindle and the housing. The only contact is between the spindle and the precision ball supporting it at the bottom. The design of the bearing assembly ensures that the ball is housed absolutely central to the spindle.

The main bearing is lubricated using Vertere’s proprietary bearing oil, L-1G, which ensures almost perfectly silent running. This lubricating oil is formulated with anti-friction, anti-foaming, water repellent and cooling agents for longevity and best performance. The unique design features of the main bearing, combined with the highest level of precision and attention to detail is mirrored in every other aspect of Vertere’s Record Player RG-1 Reference Groove.

On the main structure of the record player, the drive engine is a Swiss made synchronous motor. Vertere’s unique self-synchronising system for the motor keeps belt tension constant and also keeps any residual noise away from the platter. An external dedicated motor drive power supply unit, precisely tuned to each individual motor, ensures optimum power to the motor while keeping motor noise to a minimum.

Highest-quality cast acrylic has been chosen as the best material for the plinths of the record player, due to its consistent rigidity and naturally non-resonant properties. The plinths are CNC machined from different thicknesses of cast acrylic to their specific designed shapes and are critically isolated from each other. Isolation is provided by several unique suspension components, where every layer is designed to eliminate certain unwanted movements and vibrations – internal or external.

The intricate design of the isolation components combined with the stable acrylic plinth structure provides the best possible platform for the tonearm, cartridge and the platter assembly. The result is an unparalleled and an unforgettable musical experience, every time you play a record on the RG-1.

Very nice system!  I have heard the Meishu Silver a couple times at Hifi shows and liked it each time.  I also really like AN cables.  Like you I have SPx speaker cable and it is the best I have ever had in my system.

Absolutely stunning system and synergy for days I'm sure. I am a budding AN fan myself and your system is aspirational. And very well chosen in terms of the AN level system thanks for sharing!

jond

Besutiful system indeed!  And I am sure it sounds as good as it looks. Having Audio Note gear throughout should provide a special synergism.

Beautiful system. One of the best, if not THE best audio systems I've ever heard was an all-Audio Note UK system a few years ago. A sound I will never forget.
Some more pics of whole system would be a nice treat though.
Congratulations.
