Description

New house, completely different system to fit room and acoustics

As of 8/28/2016 I feel I am done for now.  System is so resolving, no combination I've had before has ever sounded like this.  The ZU Omen Def's with Radian Tweeters and Audio Research amplifier is just amazing at how every musical track is laid bare.

System Edit: 02/02/2017 swapped out the Audio Research 300.2 for some lovely Quad Elite QMP mono blocks.  Absolutely thrilled with the price to performance ratio.  Excellent build quality, very robust power supplies, 45 lbs each.  Overkill power for ZU's, damn straight!

Greetings Whoopycat,
I bought the drivers myself from Parts Express with the Jupiter Caps and Mills resistors from Partconnexion.  All said and done it set me back roughly $845 on my own.  ZU wants $700.00 just for the drivers, stating how they are matched, but really, I am spending $150 more with them for "matching".  Nevertheless, the upgrade is 100% worth it, I would do it again in a heartbeat, no comparison versus the little 1" Eminence drivers.  Add a terrific tube preamp and you are in sonic heaven.

Nice!  Do you mind if I ask how much it cost to upgrade your Omen Defs to Radians with the Jupiter caps?
