I have been at this addicting yet satisfying hobby for about 30 years now. I have had many sets of speakers, amps, cd players go in and out. 3 years ago I was using a Bryston 4Bsst2/BP26,  Esoteric X-05 cd player, and PMC OB1i speakers.  I was pretty happy but felt it was just too much gear and wanted to lessen the amount of components in my system. I also felt at this point there was something missing with the speakers. So I decided to trade in the Bryston equipment and the Esoteric X-05 and I bought the Devialet 200 and the April Music cd player.

 I still felt the speakers were the weak link so a year later I traded in the PMC OB1i's for PB1i's but still wasn't satisfied.  Finally I traded in the PB1i's for PMC Twenty5 26's and added the Metaxas Solitaire monoblocks. 

**Update** Sold the Devialet 200, Metaxas Solitaire monoblocks, and PMC Twenty-five.26's. A complete overhaul. So listed above is now where I'm at and I feel this is the best my system has sounded yet. 

 It's hard to put an exact value on my system.  Retail it would be more than $30k with all cables etc., included. I don't know if I will ever be totally satisfied but it's time to just sit back and listen to the music. It's the one thing that keeps me grounded and relieves the stress of this chaotic world.
