Description

Let go of the Sonus Faber Minima Amator II’s and picked up a set of Tannoy Turnberry GR’s. Should be good for a while. Picked up a Garrard 301 and sold my more modern turntable.

Very unique hi-end system. Surely the performance from it has to be stunning.

@jond

It’s looking like the Pure Audio Project speakers are winning me over. I like that they don’t need the subwoofer and they are really fun spatially. Kind of tempted to upgrade to the Voxativ 1.6’s.

I may try the Sonus Fabers in my living room system.

Yes. I’m a big Dieter Rams fan and used to live in a Mies van der Rohe home. Lots of love for design in our home—mostly me and the kids.

I really don’t see why folks cut corners on shelving. This stuff will be functional when I’m long gone.

Nice shelving system for your albums and CDs! Is that the 606 Universal?

@analoghaven

I’m using RCA cables.

miesdavis

Hello, are you using rca or xlr  ?
so you have anti-skate on setting one on the loop

Hello @analoghaven

I believe the anti-skate is set to whichever of the settings was appropriate for 1.5-2 grams tracking force.

Right now I have cables from Audio Sensibility on the table but I’m going to be trying some Luna Cables soon so I may change that.

It’s a beautiful system.  I imagine it really sings!

Hello, system looks amazing ! The question I have is where do you have the Ani-skate loop set on the arm 1, 2, or 3 ?
And have you changed out the phono cables on the turntable to something else ?
thx

Thanks everyone! I didn’t think the Sonus Fabers would work with 15 watts. Really amazed at how good they are. They were great with the ARC GSI75 too but I thought it was just the amp.

The Gaia footers make a big difference for the Pure Audio Project speakers (didn’t for my ATC’s). Just not certain mr room is large enough for the open baffles to really cut loose.

miesdavis

You didn't mention the Iso Acoustic GAIAsThey make a huge difference on most speakers. They do on my Pure Audio Project Quintet Voxatives.

Wow awesome looking system that LM amp is a stunner! I think you should keep both speakers and rotate them unless you need the money.

jond

Gorgeous.

cymbop

Nice system and music.  Keep and enjoy both sets of speakers!

billheiser

Now that’s a well put together system!
