This is a lacquer-encased aluminum turntable disc that is very smooth, completely stiff, and is medium thickness (about 2.5 mm). The finish is impeccable on this disc, and the lacquer coating has a very unique hard/soft texture to the feeling of the surface; like an extremely dense, hard rubber if I was pressed to describe it.

I am glad you listed the components right because the description says revel speakers and i know those are thiel speakers lol nice system and room

I have a large living/listening room with custom built Tannoy HPD 315's, and I've just put  Townshend Seismic Podiums under them, and I really enjoy their contribution to the current sound quality of my music listening.. They have also given the Tannoys a nicely finished look.

Your system is great, and you have a nice good-sized listening room to enjoy it in.

Dan

Very nice system, space and view.  Seems a quiet and comfy space. Need more pics.

Good to hear, I love my 2.3s but always enjoy hearing about a Thiel owner finding a better speaker for their room.  Enjoy the music!

thosb I reluctantly moved the Thiels mainly because of the size of the room. The Revels are best in this space. When compared using same source material and chain of components the Thiels are surprisingly very musical and dynamic with the only obvious difference being the mid range which the Revels bring to make the experience unforgettable!

skurra

Oh No!  In with the Revels, out with the Thiels?!?  Say it ain't so?

Seriously, as Thiel owner, knowing someday I will likely do the same, how do they compare?  If I recall frozentundra also went from Thiels to Revels.

Appreciate your kind comments - easily the highest compliment that I ever received! Thanks, Shankar

Beautiful!  Always love to see Thiels still being played, mixed in with other more modern gear.  And the overall room looks wonderful, nice mix of real living and hifi.

Thanks rhljazz!

Love your room and furnishings.  Looks like a great place to relax to some good tunes.  Interesting choice between speakers and amplification as both reputed to be on the analytical side of reproduction.  Then again, there are no absolutes.

Thanks Jazzman7!

Kudos!  Love both your room and setup ... especially the combination of Thiel speakers and Rel subwoofers ... not to mention the Benchmark amplification.

Hello,
I have Thiel CS1.5s and could not find it on drop down menu options.

Thanks,

What's a Thiel Audio CS pre as listed?

Never heard of it before as a Thiel owner.  Thanks!
