LFD NCSE

For sale is my LFD NCSE MkI.  I'm the original owner and purchased from Fidelis Audio.  This legendary British integrated amp is geared towards performance and thus does not have remote volume or a pre-out.  The NCSE has a very rare (for solid state) fluid, natural midrange, but with solid state definition at the frequency extremes.  

Although cosmetically very good overall, I had to rate as fair condition due to a few scratches which can be seen in the photos.  Most importantly, the amp is in perfect working condition. 

In the spirit of honesty and full disclosure, I had previously sold the amp, but unfortunately it was damaged in shipping, despite having the original box and packaging.  The front knobs and volume control took the brunt of the UPS treatment.  As I later found out, this type of damage has occasionally happened due to less than ideal internal packaging from LFD.  The repair was actually quite simple (I received replacement selector and tape monitor switches and a new volume control).  The parts were installed by a competent local shop and again, the amp is in perfect working condition.

LFD has since improved their packaging to prevent this type of damage.  I have the new packaging and box and an outer box purchased from Gene Rubin Audio.
