I am the original owner of a pristine Audio Research GS150. It is a wonderfully powerful, detailed, warm, and engaging component. I am only selling because my 87db Revel Ultima Salon 2's required a significantly higher amount of wattage in order to truly " sing " at lower to mid playing levels.So now it's time to place this beauty in a new home.
I have not put a considerable amount of hours on the tubes since we got the amp in 2018, and
I assure you that there are no microphonic effects in any of the tubes so far, and after a few hours of playback Saturday, it still sounds fantastic.
The GS150 is currently being held at my friend's salon shop in Woodridge Illinois, where I purchased the bass-tacular Hegel H30 that replaced it. I was trying to go the easier route of consignment, but it seems to be taking longer to sell than I had hoped.
