    Oppo BDP-95 sounds better than BDP-105. BDP-95's fan noise is much reduced after made extra vent holes on the bottom plate of bdp-95.

If the original music (cleanest) sounds veiled and fuzzy, your ears are unnatural hearing mode (your system = unnatural sound). Listen the original music for 1-2 minutes (and equalize your ears to make ears normal faster) until it sounds clean. Then you can hear WT sounds clean too. 

General public (non-audiophiles) are always in natural sound hearing mode. And they hear all hi-fi audio sounds veiled and fuzzy. Therefore, your wife doesn't like your audio system. All audio systems (except my WT system) in the world sounds unnatural.
