A McCormack Power Drive DNA-0.5 Deluxe Edition amplifier in excellent condition for sale. I have included a number of pictures so you can see for yourself the great shape this amp is in (perhaps not a surprise as has been in storage for quite some time).
The DNA-0.5 Deluxe is rated to deliver 100/200/300 RMS watts per channel at 8/4/2 ohms, with 25 Amps peak output current per channel. See the last picture for the full specifications from the manual.
The DNA-0.5 Deluxe has a deserved and long reputation as a great sounding amp; it was a Stereophile 1996 Amplification Component of the Year finalist, taking second to $35,000 Krell mono blocks! No wonder it also was joint "budget" component of the year for delivering "best sound for the buck". Obviously I agree...I owned three...but it's time to let one go.
The original box, packing materials and (a copy of) the original manual are included.

| How much would you sell the second McCormack for if I bought both? Being completely honest, just not ready to part with the last one. Over the last several months I have seen a least 2 or 3 DNA 0.5 for sale on Audiogon and eBay. |

| Is the other one a McCormack DNA 0.5 too? Do you think it matters if my center channel has the same amp for home theater movies Yes it also is a DNA 0.5 Deluxe, the first one I bought new. Had to upgrade main board to "R1" when a channel went out some years ago. It has some cosmetic issues (really just some issues with graphics on front face) and why sold/selling the "perfect" ones.
RE same amp center it is hard to answer as not sure what you would be using otherwise. The McCormack very neutral in that more in the middle of the solid state to tube sound |
