This unit was originally listed this a little over a year ago, along with a Sony SCD-777ES.  Unfortunately, I had a number of low ball offers.  So I decided to keep them both and for use in another system in my living room.  However, I've only used that system a hand full of times over the last year.  Amp Details - Jeff Rowland Model 5 power amp with single ended and balanced inputs.  I have owned this unit since 1998 and it still sounds great. This is the last/most current version of the Model 5 which sold for $6,500.00 retail. The amp comes with the original wooden packing crate, extra light bulbs for the power switch, & a Monster Cable Powerline 300 8ft a/c cable.  I have rated it as a 7/10 for a couple of reasons.  There are a some slight scratches on the face plate and (1) small ding on the rt. side of the face plate.  See photos.  The other reason for 7/10 is that the stand by/power switch can be finicky at times.  On initial start up-the unit will sometimes revert back to the stand by mode after about 5 minutes. The unit will stay powered up after you repeat the start up exercise a couple of times over the course of about 20min. I typically left the unit on 24/7 so this wasn't a major issue.  I contacted Rowland and they felt that it was most likely not anything serious.  They suggested that I wait to have it serviced (if the amp ever truly fails to power up) and live with the annoyance.  The amp has functioned this way for a number of years and does not effect its sonic performance.  I have priced the it accordingly, just in case that the next buyer may want the power switch issue resolved.  The greatest thing about Jeff Rowland products besides their wonderful sound is the fact that they still service their products from 30 years ago+.  Jeff Rowland will actually pick up the phone and talk to you.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
