The 6H30 was first used in hifi audio by Balanced Audio Technologies. They introduced it to the audiophile world in the 1990's. Now, many other audio designers/manufacturers such as Audio Research and Conrad Johnson, use this wonderful tube in their tube amplifiers and preamps as well. 

This has the optional phono stage installed by the manufacturer.


My choices for moving to an integrated amp were easy based upon my previous experience with the B. A. T.  VK3i  preamp.  


I purchased this as a recertified unit from TMR about a year ago.  When the first unit arrived and proved inoperable, the good folks at TMR acted quickly and arranged shipment of another unit IMMEDIATELY.  I shipped the inoperable unit back to B. A. T.  directly.  Excellent retailers both

 

150 watts per channel 8 ohms,  300 watts per channel 4 ohms with 5 inputs,  2 XLR and 3 RCA type.

 
Heavy, well manufactured, substantial piece of gear.  Barely used since I received it and never abused; my listening level is very conservative. Beautiful condition.  Hard to discern from new. Upon reboxing it the other day  I noticed that the speaker cable connects were slightly scratched - most likely when I was attaching a pair of garden hose sized cables to them.  These are minor cosmetic imperfections and do not subtract anything sonically or performance oriented.  


Original carton and packaging, HEAVY metal remote, stock power cord, owners manual, everything I received from B. A. T. 


My new (to me) Modwright arrived today.  The B. A. T. is back in its box ready to ship although I seriously prefer a local pickup/meet within a reasonable distance from 11755.
