STEAL MY VANDERSTEENS - Vandersteen Quatro - (Even lower) Bargain price - need a little TLC

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.  THESE SPEAKERS ARE BEING SOLD AS IS, AND WILL REQUIRE SOME WORK, AS IS REFLECTED IN THE PRICE.

8/10 cosmetic condition, consecutive serial numbers, original cloth Quatros for sale.  I believe they were manufactured in 2007.  I am the second owner, having purchased them in 2012.  In 2016, I purchased brand new subwoofer modules (amps) from Vandersteen, so those are essentially new.  Recently, one of the speakers (ser. number 1253) began making a very low level noise 0n certain piano notes. I diagnosed the problem over the phone with Vandersteen customer service, and they believe it requires a new midrange unit for that speaker, which costs approximately $150.  What is required is that the cloth be removed from the top of the unit, the midrange unit be removed and sent to Vandersteen.  they either rebuild or send back the unit, whichever they feel will give you the best match.  I am selling these (and many other parts of my system) rather than fixing them, in order to downsize my system (I am going to smaller two ways and an integrated, after more than 25 years with nothing but ‘big’ speakers and tube separates).  If the Vandies do not sell here, I will do the work myself, but the asking price will be double what it is now.  This is an opportunity for anyone with even a modicum of "do it yourself" skills to get a true high end bargain!

Price includes all original spikes, instruction manual, Vandertones disc, a/c cords (the powered subs have to be plugged in) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the external crossover modules with captive AQ Sky rca connectors.

There is ONE catch - you have to make arrangements to pick them up at my home (not far from JFK airport), because I do not have the boxes and they are too heavy to ship or for me to carry (maybe 10 years ago, but not now).
