Cary Audio SLP-05 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier with original remote control and packaging

Cary SLP-05 Vacuum Tube Preamplifier with original remote control, preamplifier-power supply connector cable, and power cable. Everything shown in photos is included. It includes the original packaging/boxes.

This preamplifier was professionally serviced in April 2018. It operates as it should with no problems. See copy of service invoice in photos. The repair shop is recommending the new owner replace all of the tubes. They suggested using new JJ brand 6SN7 tubes at about $30 each.

I’ve been using this preamplifier in my system for several years. I am selling it because I have switched to a DAC/Preamplifier and don’t need this anymore.

It comes with a full set of used 6SN7 tubes all tested good. See photos for tube details. Even though these tubes all test good, they are old and have microphonic noise issues - see copy of service invoice for more details. I was using this preamplifier with these tubes prior to servicing it and they work fine, the only issue is some slight static once a while that goes away if you gently move the tube in the socket.

This preamp and power supply looks great. If you look very closely you can find a few imperfections to the painted finish per the following. There are several small/tiny nicks/chips on the black painted finish. None that I can see on the top of the preamp, there are 2 or 3 on right side of preamp, 1 on top left side edge of preamp, 2 on left side of power supply, several on the back edges of the preamp and power supply. There is a small scratch on the top of the power supply.
