For sale is a 2-3D model of the Townshend Seismic Sink. I
just tested the bladder and it is fine. The unit is in very good condition.
There are a couple of very minor marks on the top and one small scratch. There
is a picture of the scratch. It would in any event not be visible once
equipment is placed on it.
The unit is 19” x 15” and can support a weight of 33
lbs. The list price was $450. This comes
with a balancing plate (pictured). I will also include a pump that works with
this Sink. (It is not true that any bicycle pump will work with Seismic Sinks!)
The “3D” designation indicates that the Sink controls not
only vertical vibration but also horizontal front-to-back and side-to-side
motion. There is an excellent piece about this series of Seismic Sinks by Wayne
Donnelly at EnjoytheMusic. You can easily find it with a quick internet search. The Seismic Sinks are particularly effective
with digital transports, DACs and CDPs.
Buyer to pay PayPal fees if used and actual shipping. I do
have the original wood shipping crate. Please be advised that this is a very
heavy unit. I am in Manhattan for local pick up.
