KT-88/KT-120 Custom Build Push-Pull Tube Amplifier High Quality Build

This is a high quality custom hand built KT-88 / KT-120 tube amp. It was built by a highly skilled amp builder using the Dynaco Mark III circuit. It employs an Antek dual toroidal power supply, a pair of Edcor 100 watt 4.2k to 4/8/16 ohm output transformers, and a pair of Hammond 193I chokes.

The front end uses 6an8 tubes. The amp is approximately three years old - it has maybe 300 hours on it. It works perfect, and with the over-built size of the transformers and power supply it never gets hot and in fact barely even gets warm. You can feel it, but never hot.

This unit weighs about 70 lbs unboxed.

As for the Specs, it easily puts out about 75 watts per channel. The Edcor output transformers have been measured and have excellent low end response, something like 30hz is -3db.

Pin probe jacks and bias adjustment pots have been installed on the amp for easy biasing. (Should be biased to 1.5 Volts – Based on markings).

Finally, the knobs on the top of the deck are output impedance selector knobs - for 4/8/16 ohm speakers

The amp will come fully tubed with KT-120 power tubes.

This amp was built purely as a labor of love. The cost of parts alone on this amp is about $1,500, not to mention the countless labor hours to build the amp.
